Week 6 Betty No_Crocker #Food

Hey Lovelies! Turns out I’m super later with this post, but I’ll just share this quick food adventure with you. If you know me well, you’re probably aware that I cook just enough to say I know how and enough to survive. I’m not creative when it comes to cooking; I keep it basic. That, in no way, means my eyes don’t light up at the sight of a well-prepared meal with brightly colored sides and perfectly baked goodness. I luh dat. Lol. But no, really, I have always shied away from trying new recipes bc I would be cooking FOR MYSELF and I really hate wasting food. Plus, eating the same left-overs after two days is simply dreadful. However, since I’m on the “new activity” kick, I decided to expand my horizons and download a recipe app, AllRecipes. Turns out, any of my favorite food items can be searched and a plethora of recipes come up for me to choose from…yippee!😛 So, for week 6, I tried 3 different recipes (two separate days😬): Happy Shrimp, Herbed Green Bean Casserole, and Spaghetti (using Spaghetti Squash in the place of traditional spaghetti noodles). It turned out so good! Contrary to my typical feelings, I ate my casserole dish throughout the week with joy😂😂. I spent about an hour in Kroger collecting fresh herbs (amongst other ingredients), I literally chopped up basil for the first time ever, I threw my Spaghetti Squash in the oven and it came out perfect! Let’s just say I’m really feeling myself in the kitchen nowadays. More to come. How does my grub look to you? Hope you like!💜
